Raymond

Raymond Johnson

Raymond Johnson is the founder of Steadfast Financial Services, in business since 1998. Prior to opening his own business, Raymond had twenty years of experience in accounting, tax, and financial planning, including eight years as a partner with Ronald Blue & Company. He believes in applying time-tested principles of money management in conjunction with a personal level of service for all of Steadfast’s clients.

Raymond received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Central Florida in 1973, a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Central Florida in 1976, and a Master of Taxation from the University of Denver in 1982.

He has served on the board of numerous charitable organizations. He is married with four children and thirteen grandchildren. When he is not in the office, he enjoys spending time with family, reading, traveling, and golf.

Matthew McGahey

Matt is the President and owner of Steadfast Financial Services, having bought the company on January 1, 2022. He began his financial advisory career at Steadfast over ten years ago, joining the firm on January 1, 2013. Prior to joining Steadfast, Matt worked at Enterprise Rent-a-Car for five years, becoming one of the youngest in Central Florida to achieve branch management status. During this time, Matt gained invaluable management, business operations, and relational skills that are useful at Steadfast.

Matt received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Central Florida in 2008. Additionally, Matt attained the CFP®, ChFC®, and RICP® designations during 2013-2017 from The American College. These designations and continued education afford Matt the knowledge and tools to serve clients in financial planning, consulting, and retirement income planning.  And most recently he attained the CKA® designation from the Kingdom Advisors organization targeting the application of morals, ethics, and time-tested principles in all financial stewardship decision making. 

Matt is married to Joy, and has three sons Caleb, Zachary, and Keegan. Outside of work he enjoys family, fishing, surfing, college football, golf, and running. He has also had the privilege of coaching his son’s basketball teams. He and the family attend Grace Church in Orlando. Together they are active in various church ministries and have given a particular emphasis to serving foster families including being a foster family themselves.
